Senior Backend Python Developer

We are looking to recruit a talented and passionate senior Python backend developer. You will need to be interested in all things technology and have advanced Python coding skills and experience with Amazon Web Services. You will have a strong understanding of software engineering, have strong object-oriented programming skills and an understanding of automated testing including unit, integration and end-to-end testing. You will report directly to the Head of Development, though the ideal candidate will retain relative autonomy regarding how to deliver to deadlines in line with project management. We are looking for someone who has a team mentality and enjoys contributing in an enthusiastic way to the broader discussion about product strategy, to service delivery planning and to mentoring junior developers.

Senior Frontend Developer

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer, with at least 5 years of experience with the most popular frameworks such as – React, Angular, Vue JS.

The right candidate will be someone who is motivated to translate the UX design into the frontend facing application, with a user-centric approach. You will be working in a small, agile team; the successful candidate will be someone who collaborates with others effectively but also enjoys taking a high level of accountability for their own tasks and workflow. Side activities will include taking part in the product design process, supporting in backend API design as well as designing and implementing POCs (Proof of Concept) and internal data-rich applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the new user-facing features and enhance existing ones on the webapp (currently vue.js)
  • Deliver technical analysis for new features
  • Optimise the web applications for maximum speed, compatibility and scalability
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of mock-up designs and support the design process
  • Improve stability and support the QA team in assessing the quality of the product
  • Work proactively with the development, product & QA team to bring mock-ups to life with new pages and functionalities

About the Role

We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and experienced Lead Product Designer to manage the crucial link between our technical and business teams.  You will own the product strategy, work with professionals to scope the requirements and ensure that the product meets the needs of its end user. You will be responsible for overseeing product development; constantly and clearly communicating the strategy to the technical team.  You will understand the commercial and security needs of our product and the value it delivers to its users and translate the evolving business requirements into product specifications.

You will liaise with the sales and marketing team to ensure that the product strategy is in line with what clients actually want. You will work in an agile capacity constantly validating the product strategy through feedback, analysis as well as other research and market testing to inform and shape product strategy and feature development.
You will be adept at prioritising features in line with client and potential client requests while ensuring a balance between satisfying specific customers and developing a standalone future-proof next generation product.  You will need to manage the expectations of the business team in terms of development time and delivery, while also ensuring that the technical team commits and delivers to pre-defined time-frames.
FeedStock’s Lead Product Designer is a client-facing role. You will support the sales team and the Head of Integration in explaining the system architecture and product strategy to potential clients.  To inform your product strategy, you will listen to prospective clients about what they want as well as existing clients to receive feedback and get their inputs to develop the product further.

The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial, strategic, technical, and hands on product visionary looking to play a pivotal role in the development of cutting edge products at a time of exceptional enterprise innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage closely with the Engineering team to help determine the best technical implementation methods as well as a reasonable implementation schedule.
  • Identify market opportunities to define and refine product vision and strategy.
  • Use business requirements and market research to assist in developing new use cases, high-level requirements.
  • Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, and usability findings.
  • Design the UX/UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of new web and on-device software applications.
  • Design and drive the overall vision and product strategy to a coherent whole.
  • Manage internal partnerships and external partners to optimize growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of product design experience.
  • 3+ years experience leading full-stack product design in a technical field.
  • A portfolio demonstrating experience of creating prototypes or wire-frames for complex web applications and/or workflows. Demonstration of ability to create sample product design using personas, journey maps, wire-frames and prototypes is needed for this role.
